In place of the original L-head six is a 627-hp 454-cu.in. LSX V-8 topped with an intake, custom machined by Pete, to accept a Holley Quick Fuel 1,250-cfm carburetor. The carburetor has been modified as well: sleeved down to 850 cfm to make the fuel delivery less aggressive. Pete's additional custom engine-bay touches include a cowl induction.

The new 1952 Aero-Willys came in four series: Aero-Lark, Aero-Wing, Aero-Ace and Aero-Eagle. Power came from a 2.6 litre (161 cu in.) six-cylinder engine.
